Great ride today lads, we are off up there again on Tuesday to get some more footage and photos. Got some great pics today courtesy of Lamby!!!!

On another note just want to wish Gavin a quick recover after his crash on I Line. Poor bugger was a right mess. Get well soon fella.

Gavin had x rays on head and neck and everything is fine. he stayed as hospital last night and is being transfered today to Livingson for some plastic surgery on his lip.

Thanks very much for all you help, we were lucky that you were pushing up at that point and knew what to do.

I am sure Gavin will either invest in a full face or stick to easy runs!

Thanks again,

Graham

No problem Graham we were only too glad to help. Poor lad was in a right state. I knew as soon as he started going over the bars it was going to be bad when he didn't have a full face on. Big shame about his lip too. But good to know he is ok and on the mend.

Take care mate and pass on all our regards.

Cheers

John

A very big thank you to all the guys from North East Freeriders who helped me on Sunday 22nd at Innerleithen's Make or Break (break in my case, as it turned out to be! Actually, not a break in sight - just a few mins unconscious, concussed, hole in my face, skin graft taken from my skull to upper lip to reconstruct, 5 days in hospital. I go back in a couple of months to get my bottom lip sewed to my top lip to try and grow some top lip back - mmm, nice!)

Guys, if you've got a preferred charity or group that I could make a donation to, I'd be delighted. You can reach me at gavin *underscore* orr *at* yahoo *dot* com.

I can't remember anything between starting down the last bit of the run and being stretchered off to an ambulance, so don't know who to thank exactly, but a general thank you to you all and for the camaraderie of bikers everywhere. I'm only sorry I haven't got any pics of the carnage!

A full face helmet is on my Christmas list - oh and a few more skills before tackling jumps that are way beyond me, might also feature on that wish list.

Thanks again for all your help and concern guys. Hope to see you up there another weekend!

Cheers
Gavin

Well gavin i was the lad who saw you take the tumble. I must say mate, it was pretty scary to see and i knew it was going to be bad as i have been in a simlar position myself. Only glad that you didn't brake anything cause at first we thought you had broke your shoulder or something like that. One of the lads who you were with didn't even recognise you thats how bad it was!!! Your group and Lamby from our lot looked after you while i blasted down Caddon bank to meet the ambulance, i must say i think its the fastest i have ever done that before.

Glad to hear your up and about and on the mend. Hope the lip heals up ok too.

Don't forget full face on the xmas list!!!!!

All the best Gavin. Hope your back on the bike soon mate Very Happy
