firstly lets not mention saturday as i had more falls than canada lets just say the washing machine was on overtime and i was the abominable downhiller anyway sunday started off not to bad practice run went really well was a bit shabby lots of toe dabbing the odd ouch here and there but it seemed like the track had totally altered from the day before either that or the booooooze hadf finally left my system anyway went for the uplift with a semi smile on my face and half a a fatty on return to the top of the hill waited around chatting well then time to race gets on the start ramp clean goggles put them on beep beep beep lets go pedle pedle pedle into trees usual top section lots of roots berms couple of little drops into next set of berms i like these no brakes get side ways lots of speed o yes i can feel the fatty on starting again hit the table top nearly nose dived as i landed over little rock garden left between some trees then right straight run all the way to cabin pedle pedle pedle PEDLE kicker at cabin over track all the people watch you here so what ever you do dont fall off look brave and look like you know what you are doing hey look at me i am a downhiller i think
behind the cabin into trees little random rocks all over the place hey theres my friend joe now mate whys everyone laughing what you been telling them bus stop left nasty very painfull but i wouldnt know cause i never fell off dont you say anything joe i can do this i will show him here we go bounce stumble toe tap ha ha i did it right turn off camber lots of rocks still a little smile on my face slipped off my pedles landed with my balls on my knarly tyres arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh bollock braking is not advised all the people are like oooo oooo oooo oooo or random other riders quietly saying i would have gone high there i dont care what you would have done it feels like my ball sack has been stretched around the full length of a 26 inch wheel and its been tenderized by all the spikes on my tyre darren what are you going on about back to earth pulls bollocks out of rear swing arm lets go balls seem to be swinging abit more than usual set off again pedle pedle flap flap now then nasty little chute this bit wayne says just go straight down the center looks bad is easy thow ok lets go done it mint into last switch backs over last table top then to finish line 2mins 41sec thats not that good next run do better take your time no mess ups and you will do much better ok back to uplift back to top standing around waiting starts to rain wind gets up a little rains some more lots more wind ok feels like a hurricane now ok darren jones your up next ooooo back onto start ramp relex relax relax beep beep beep well then i set off lots of calm lets just go with the flow omg i was absolutely on fire all the way very little braking pinned i even did lines that i wasnt suppose to do but it felt the right thing to do this is mint i am the god of dh over the table top o dear my super smooth gland had obviously decided it didnt want to share this fun with me really bad nose dive just kept it over the rock garden some thing didnt sound to good then so what into nice smooth track all the way to cabin pedle pedle harder to pedle really hard to pedle shit flat tyre this isnt good ok passed the cabin sound like a tank slipping all over theres my friend joe again giving me some support go on ses to which my reply was i have a flat tyre so he knew i was gonna deck it at this bus stop and he started to laugh and watch but with even a flat tyre i managed the bus stop mind you granted i looked like some one playing on a bike in a earth quake but hey i did it had to run along the rock garden to the chute people shouting come on then my dh gland came back i jumped on my bike and set off down this chute and my dh gland left me again well i thort i was gonna die and i think everyone else did people shouting ooooooooOOOOOOOOOOooooooo then i made it to the bottom and there was a crate cheer and i was buzzing and as i went to ride off into the distance on my loyle steed i fuckin slipped on the smallest pebble i have ever seen and i hit the deck which in tern re bust my finger bust my brake lever so i didnt have a back brake and my back wheel wasnt really running freely but brave face on i set off down the last switch backs no rear brake rather scary down the last chute over table top to finish line thank F*£K that was over time 3mins 51 felt like 3 hours 51 mins i was aching but what the hell thats dh time for a fag
