no it wont be the same as mine i got new hubs on mine

erm take your wheel off (im just generalising at the rest of this because i dont know what type it is and have never paid attention in detail to your hubs lol

im guessing theres a threaded tube through the centre of your hub? there should be a nut on that to undo? maybe its under something that slides off?

then there may be another locking nut and then the bearing cone that will unscrew aswel and your bearings will be next and they will slide out (maybe need a bit of pursuation with a screwdriver

when you take it apart lay the bits out in order that you took them off so you get them back on the right way Smile

basically you cant do anything wrong if you take the bits off and put them back the right way

when you get the bearings out clean all the grease of them and check the BB's to make sure they arnt worn atall and that thers no bits of the cage snapped off, clean out the inside of the hub where the bearings run (and the cone you took off) and check they arnt rough etc

pop some new grease in and put it all back together Smile dont over tighted the cones onto the bearings but make sure they are tight enough to stop wobbles

if you need to know anything else just let me know Smile but i think that covers it all Very Happy

yeah i know what you mean but i think i have different types of bearings, ive got the standard specialized hubs with sealed bearings in.

ive took the blts out of each end and on the disc site i took the cover thing out that covers the bearings. then there is a bearing in there completely sealed. i dont know if you need to take the metal bar out of the middle or not but i cant get it out.

Cheers

does the axel screw out of the hub?

what do you mean by sealed bearings? have you managed to get one out?
are they just like a cylinder with the bearings inside?

could you take a photo? make sure its fairly close up and focused ok though Smile

hm cant tell for sure but it looks like the bearing is screwed onto the axel? you'll be able to see better yourself, try unscrewing the axel out?

other than that im not too sure just have a play about, unless your extremely violent withit nothing should go too wrong Smile

well i gave the axle in the middle a good bashing and i got that out but as for the bearings ive gave up for the day.

they are stuck in really tight so i may need to heat it up or something.

donttt heat it up Smile itl weaken the alloy

block one end and fill it with wd40 and leave it over night
then get a screwdriver from the opposite side and if thers a ridge where the bearing sits just tap it out with a hammer

i think your bearings are press fitted you have to hammer them out but you gotto be very carefull could damage the hub its self thats only a guess but they look very well sealed if you are gonna try and get them out you have to work from the oposite side and you need a decent size punch and a hammer push the punch through the hub from the oposite side and locate the end of the punch behind the oposite bearing and tap it but make sure you work around the bearing dont just keep hitting it in the same position cause it might twist and jam and thats when it could fuck your hub slowely and gently if it dosnt seem to be coming out then take it to guis cycles and see greg if they come out to put them back in bit of grease on the out side shell of the bearing tap lightly around the outer edge of the bearing with a hammer till it starts to go in then get a socket with roughly the same diameter as the bearing outer shell and use that to seat it properly then do the other side your dad will know anyway man
