Ok so was thinking how cool it would be to have a foam pit up in the field but would be way to expensive and really hard to keep dry and free of rabbits and rats and shit.
So how about asd a sorta alternative if we get a few bags of wood mulch, you know the stuff they oput on kids play parks and build a new jump, possibly a step up, and cover the landing in the wood mulch and ya can learn tricks onto it, and you will be able to ride away from it as well

Ahh right yea i know what you mean, i think we need to build one as a one hit wonder rather than apart of a trail it. It will need to be mellow enough to not have to worry about it kicking you up but still give you enough pop to trick off, i think we a take off that is a bit like the quarter pipe but only to the height of 3/4 of the way up if ya get me? then have a bout a four foot step up and a nice long mellow landing, if we built it really wide tho we could have a section covered in mulch to learn onto the movve across onto the bit next to it which is jus dirt so its still the same jump jus with slightly higher risks
what ya think?

So do you mean landing on the mulch??? Won't that be a bit sketchy it will be loose as hell. Been looking on how to build a foam pit and it really ain't that hard!!! _________________ Practise makes compound fractures before it makes perfect!!!!

Well yea it will be sketchy but thats the idea, so it wont be hard to fall on
A foam pit would be good but being realistic i dont think its possible. Theres too many problems, first is the cost, you will need all the wood around the side then some kind of pond liner of summet to line it then one to put over the top when its not being used. Then your gonna need all the foam and you will need alot! then how are you gonna stop rats and rabbits living in it???
Jus dont think its practicable

I dont think its worth doing unless your going to be doing it properly, cos if you build one and have to worry about not over jumping or not hitting the sides then i think defies the point of having ones, so in other words it needs to be big!
Thats a picture of them building the one at the track in cornwall, i just really dont think its worth while because the amount of work, room, time and money it will cost will totally out weight the benefits
dont get me wrong its would be mint having one but jus dont think it will happen
