John Storey,

I saw you in Bike Scene the other day. I used to live in Guisborough and went to Prior Pursglove and I believe you went there too. It was just by chance that I stumbled across you on this site, how weird...

Anyway, I've been watching a bit of the DVD preview and some of the riding looks awesome! I've been getting back in to things recently and have been on regular rides up to Guisborough woods, however some of the competition stuff looks tempting...

Anyway, thought I'd say hello.

Lyle

Hi yeah I've been following John round for almost 5 years now, 'accidentally' bumping in to him in bike scene etc.... Rolling Eyes My name is Lyle McCalmont, not sure what year you were in (im 26) but I remember your dad working as a funeral director or something similar...

Anyway. I mainly like fast downhill rides with lots of terrain to contend with, the more technical and difficult the better really. I've got a specialized XC which does the job nicely, the full suspension makes a big difference to my old hardtail. I'm on a quest to get fit at the moment but hope to eventually take things more seriously and who knows I might even get my very own compound fracture.
