I was thinking last night where is the closest place round here to practice for penarth. In that i mean a good set of steps to charge down. So..... Anyone fancy going to Saltburn at the wkend to session some steps?? ust hope the coppers don't pull us!!

are you sure john! you wouldnt want to do yourself a mischief would you! it would be pretty cool riding through the streets with people thinking what the F**K are they doing.

anyway i think it will be a good idea, how far is it?

Saltburn is a 5 min drive from Guisborough. If you want you could come round mine then follow me down there.

sounds good, i need a bit of practice for this race. it should be a good laugh, saltburn is full of old peoples homes so they will probably enjoy bikes racing across there scenery!! Very Happy

i was at whitby looking at the 199 steps the other day Very HappyVery Happy plenty of stuff to dodge too Very Happy (yes i mean people)

saltburn will be good Very Happy and have a blast down the bank (il try to not fall off again Very Happy) u can actualy do the first part of the bank, go staight ahead on the first corner and turn right quite tight n theres steps all the way down or you can do the steps down from the top of the lift

not sure where else there is locally, maybe jus a few street rides on nights on the big bikes?

There are pleanty of step sections in the italian gardens which would be very picturesque too!! lol

my dads coming as well now, and hes booked me him and greg a campsite to stay about 10 miles from the race, we will probabaly having a venture up to the track to walk it with everyone as well.! i cant bloody wait!
