the format has changed for getting a place, dont know if youve read it or not.
this is what it says on the SDA website:
Below is a summary of the current seasons races, signup dates etc. Please note that all signup dates have moved back by one day. Tickets for events will become available on the original signup date. There will be the exact number of tickets available to match the spaces (and reserve spaces) at each event. When ticket entry opens, members will no longer be able to login to manage their membership - the login page will be replaced with a facility to request tickets to events. When you are assigned a ticket this will guarantee an entry in the event when signup opens the following day - there is no need to rush signup (just ticket requests).
This change has been put in place due to the high demand for places at events. The ticket application process will be a single step: on the one page enter your email address, password and tick the events for which you would like a ticket. If successful (i.e. there was a ticket available) then you will be shown your unique ticket ID for your records. You may then leave the site up until anytime from a week after signup opens and use your ticket to be assigned to a race.
this makes it a lot easier.
